DENVER COMMUNITY MEDIA COVID-19 POLICIES

One of the many services offered by Denver Community Media is the opportunity for the public to receive training in video production tools and techniques. This service was temporarily halted following the issuance of the Stay-at-Home safety orders to combat the spread of COVID-19. As that order has expired, it is the desire of Denver Community Media to resume offering this valuable and popular service within the current City mandates of “Safer-at-Home” that permits limited reopening of businesses and services.

Therefore, to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, and to conform to City of Denver Public Health and Environment directives, and in the interest of protecting the health and safety of all Denver Community Media (DCM) employees and members, DCM has instituted the following protocols to allow for the resumption of equipment rental and in-person training and instruction of community members at the City and County Building:

OBSERVING BEST PRACTICES FOR A CLEAN OFFICE ENVIRONMENT:

  • All DCM staff is to be mindful of their personal hygiene and health. DCM staff members will not come to the City and County Building if they are ill or experience any COVID related symptoms.
  • Abide by City directive to wear face mask and maintain a safe distance from others.
  • Practice healthy behavior: Cover the mouth when sneezing or coughing, dispose of soiled items in the wastebasket, keep work area rubbish-free, clean and sanitized. Currently, CCD facility staff comes to the Studio daily to empty trash receptacles. If these facility staff members are on a modified schedule, DCM staff will empty the trash every evening in their absence.
  • Perform a daily sanitizing of one’s workspace: Wipe down counters, light switches, doorknobs, keyboards and mice, and disinfect high-risk locations. This sanitizing will be performed upon arrival of staff members at the Studio and repeated throughout the day as needed. The protocols proposed do not require the public to enter DCM staff work areas.
  • Continue to bring COVID related issues to the workplace coordinator.
