Studio Training Certification class will equip Community Producers with the necessary skills to safely and effectively operate Denver Community Media’s studio production equipment to tell their story.

DCM: Main Studio Certification

  3 hr

This class is an introduction to broadcast production. Members will be given an overview of DCM’s broadcast control room, studio equipment, and cameras. Members will also get hands-on experience shooting camera, being on-air talent, directing, working the audio board and what it takes to run a production at DCM.We will close out the class talking about show prep, starting small and Q&A if we have time.

Required to reserve the Main Studio.

Training Outline:

  • General Guidelines: Equipment safety and security. Community Producer responsibilities (15 minutes).
  • Studio Equipment Orientation: Cameras, Video Switcher, PTZ Controller, Audio Board, Coms, Lighting Control, Kipro Recording (45 minutes).
  • Studio walk through (30 Minutes)
  • Mock Production (1.5 Hours)

Certification:

  • Studio Production basics
  • Ability to reserve the studio for future productions
